Do you have any suggestions on connecting with people who need a place to stay or finding out if there's a local safe housing network where I live that I could plug in to? My partner and I live in an area that's fairly supportive of LGBTQ people, and have a guest bed. I could see us in the future potentially being able to offer a short-term place for someone to stay, but am not sure how to connect with people who may need that.
I’m an ally in a state that has constitutional protections for trans people. Trans women are free to use my bathroom (except impostors). I’m reaching out to organizations that care for (and care about) trans people.
I think the thug in the White House is acting at the behest of President Musk, who misgenders and deadnames his own daughter. Without this personal connection, I’m sure they don’t give a shit about the trans community. They’d rather return to the people they REALLY hate — Black and Jewish people, and women.
Things like this certainly are rather barren and void of transmen who also face discrimination the same & different. We can get sexually abused, too, in different settings. I'm amazed at the divisions I see even in our own community.
You can help by staying out of women’s spaces, and sports, and leaving kids alone , to just be kids…
