Washington passed I-638 on the same ballot where voters are rejecting forced outing and a Seattle district elected the state’s first openly trans lawmaker. Here’s what I’ve been telling reporters.

Very few people ever talk about turnout in addition to the percentage change. The fact that the youth vote was so low in comparison to 2024 means the Trump Bros, those millennials and GenZ podcast manoshpere addicts, stayed home. I don't think it's reasonable to expect 2024 turnout with 2026 voteshare.
But we don't necessarily need it! There are so many votes to get everywhere, still! We can support the mostly Black women organizers that flipped or started flipping the deep south.
